Wait, What? Ep. 20.1: “Business as Usual/Taken by Surprise”

And so it goes:  I actually had this one edited last week, but decided to give you guys a chance to catch up on that extra-long “let’s answer everyone’s questions–and we mean everyone’s!” installment from last week.

And but so here we are again, discussing New Avengers #7 and Action Comics Annual and Matt Fraction’s Thor, and a whole bunch of other stuff that Graeme had read and I hadn’t.  (I did get around to reading New Avengers #7 a day or two after the fact and thought it was pretty fun.)

Should you be the type that likes to let the good times roll in your web browser of choice, you can listen to the ep. here:

Wait, What? Ep. 20.1: Business as Usual/Taken by Surprise

Alternately, you can listen to it on Itunes, where I believe it will be entry no. fifty in our gaudy ongoing audio pageant. It is our hope that you enjoy it, and entry fifty-one should be along very, very soon.

  1. Since you asked…

Daredevil was supposed to be Ronin: http://goodcomics.comicbookresources.com/2008/06/12/comic-book-urban-legends-revealed-159/

And to the best of my knowledge, Jessica Jones was replaced by Skrull before New Avengers #1. They address it at some point in the New Avengers SECRET INVASION crossover issues.

  2. Re: Nighthawk’s comment – a little nod to Jeff the Vomit Guy by way of the Stern show.

  3. I’m kind of sad they forgot about D-Man’s “superheroing-in-a-war-zone” thing from that short story in the Asst. Editor two-shot. Okay, I can see why it’s forgotten about– nobody read that comics– but it was good, and it made D-Man more than a pathetic hobo. The pathetic hobo gag is funny, but they’ve been doing it for what, 25 years now?
