   Saga is really damn good! But I see my favorite author can still come in at #2! Most of all, I’m encouraged by Love & Rockets coming in so high! Those two guys are at the top of their game and need to be mentioned in all the best ever discussions.

   I’m sad Adventure Time came in so low as that’s my personal favorite comic. I bet it will sell more this year as it came out so late in the year.

   It’s hard to call the eighty-first best-selling collection of the year as “low”?

   That’s also one where lack of supply bit us — there have been no reorders on the book since…. well the 22nd, I think? Otherwise, it would have jumped 2-3 groups, most likely.

   You know what I’m MOST proud of, as I look at this list again? All of the kids comics on it. We have at least one (NINJAGO) in our Top 20, and, depending on your personal categorization, maybe in our Top 10 (DARTH VADER & SON is a big hit with 9 year olds, really… though, yeah, lotsa hipsters buying it)

   And then I have like proper porno (OGLAF) in the top 25, plus only (am I counting right?) ten superhero GNs? (Well, 12, if you count BOYS and FLEX MENTALLO) (but not really)

   No Marvel collections on the qty list, but 5 on the $$$ list.

   The state of comics is CRAZY DIVERSE!

   You’re right, 81 isn’t low! It’s pretty cool it’s on the list at all. I was honestly thinking it was more the supply problem – I know the first 4 or 5 months I was having a very difficult time finding the single issues and every retailer I spoke to said they were having difficulty stocking it. Then the collection seemed to have come out near the end of the year, right? I know I only found it by accident when I was browsing the all ages section at Forbidden Planet in NYC.

   What I definitely forgot to mention is something you pointed out…you have an unbelievably diverse amount of sales! I badly want to take a trip out to SF to visit your store as it sounds more and more like a dream. I mean, your best selling book is Saga! How cool is that? Plus, in your top 10, joining Saga is LOEG, Love & Rockets, and Darth Vader and Son! That shows you’re dedicated to quality books because I can’t imagine all those copies selling themselves!

Next, let’s head out west to San Francisco for the Comix Experience list. [...]
