  1. Is it odd that issues of Batman and Robin sold more than #1 of Return Of Bruce Wayne?

Also, Grant Morrison wrote a lot of your top ten best sellers.
    That’s pretty crazy.

  2. How much of your store sales can be generalized across the DM?

I ask because you have just one Marvel title in your top ten and only two in the top twenty. And that first Marvel title was outsold by a Vertigo book.

That seems like very bad news for Marvel.

  3. That much space between the first two issues of Nemesis? Siege is pretty well clustered, and even Joe the Barbarian stays entirely on the charts.

Or is this just what happens to a mini-series when it isn’t THE Event and/or written by Morrison?

  4. Ben:

Not that strange — B&R #10 was released 3/19, BRUCE on 5/11 — so that’s almost 2 more months of sales. B&R #7 was released in January. That will probably “normalize” by the end of the year (we’ve still got stock of B&R #7-12 on the shelf, BRUCE #1 is waiting for the 3rd printing to arrive)

    Dave:

Probably very little? We “under perform” on Marvel relative to other stores, I think.

    David:

    NEMESIS #1 was 3/28, #2 6/8 — so that’s only 3-ish weeks of sales on #2.

  5. The Marvel under performance was the most striking thing. Combined with the high-selling Morrisons… it’s clear people in SF are into the intellectual scene.
