  1. COFFIN HILL #2 – I think I enjoyed the first issue. I’m hoping this cements my opinion one way or the other. Kind of teetering

FBP FEDERAL BUREAU OF PHYSICS #5 – I do enjoy this but have no idea how well it’s being received by others. Lots of “the artwork is great” styled comments but the story telling is at least interesting enough to sustain my continued interest.

FEARLESS DEFENDERS #11 INF – RIP fun B comics.

MANIFEST DESTINY #1 I’m a fan of westerns, so I’m curious to see this.

THREE #2 More interested in this for the politics than much else to be honest.

US ROGUE TROOPER TALES OF NU EARTH GN VOL 02 – well, yes, obviously.

I didn’t make it to the store last weekend so I have a stack of stuff to grab from last week as well

  2. AL QAEDA’S SUPER SECRET WEAPON GN falls into the worth a look category given its hilarious premise (What if Al Qaeda took Sen. Mc Cain at his word and recruited gay Muslims to join the US armed forces to undermine the American military from within?)

Other than that, I’ll definitely be picking up:

ASTRO CITY #6–Hey, it’s Busiek, Anderson, and Astro City, so life is good.

FEARLESS DEFENDERS #11–Life is not so good here given that the series is being cancelled. But it had enough fun moments (and great Mark Brooks covers) to make me enjoy the series.

ROCKET GIRL #2–Thought the first issue was utterly charming, want to see where the story goes.

THREE #2–Ryan Kelly’s art is fantastic as always. Definitely want to see where who I suspect are the three main characters will go given their rather crappy social status.

  3. Not a bad week!

COFFIN HILL #2–The first issue grabbed me pretty well, so I’ve added it to the sub list.

FEARLESS DEFENDERS #11 INF–Sad to see it end, but surprised it lasted this long. Also, is there absolutely no place on Marvel’s schedule for a title that doesn’t quite pay its own way, but does bring in readers to the comic shop who wouldn’t normally show up?

MANIFEST DESTINY #1–Intriguing premise, gets a flip-through. I like to see artists trying out ideas like this that are different than anything else on the stands.

SUPERIOR FOES OF SPIDER-MAN NOW #5–Right now, this may be Marvel’s most underrated title. Hilarious, smart, but is anybody reading it?

WALKING DEAD #116 (MR)–Oh, man, I’m nervous just thinking about how many characters are going to die in this arc.

  4. DEADPOOL #19- The end of a pretty cool story arc. Been liking the Shalvey a lot too.

STAR WARS #11 2013 ONGOING- Wow, this really feels more like 5 issues than 11. I was actually startled when I saw the number. Never read an ongoing midquel. I should have known I was setting myself up for a story that literally floats in space for a year. If nothing wraps here, which it won’t, I’m switching to…

SHAOLIN COWBOY #2- I’ll probably pick up the first one too because I feel bad for reading the whole thing and leaving it on the rack. It’s a nice violent yet peaceful tone poem.

SUICIDE SQUAD #25 (EVIL)- In September Matt Kindt beautifully explained why Deadshot sucks now (instead of taking any steps to improve the character), but I love following this tumbleweed of a comic into traffic. It’s rolled through two writing changes, a tie-in, a zero and a villains’ month without being flattened by an 18-wheeler so far, so what the hell. Zircher is a good fit here, too.
