  1. Re: Walking Dead TPB, is that just your store or all?

  2. WALKING DEAD v13 has a national street date of Tuesday 11/23. But since comics ARRIVE on Wednesday, they’re sending it out a “week early” to stores that signed up for the street date program to hold until next Tuesday.

Stores that did not sign the affidavit are not going to receive it until 11/24.

  3. BATMAN INCORPORATED #1
    BATMAN THE RETURN #1
    BRIGHTEST DAY #14
DC UNIVERSE LEGACIES #7 (OF 10)
    FLASH #6 (BRIGHTEST DAY)
    MORNING GLORIES #4
    SUPERMAN BATMAN #78
(And the DC Presents: Batman, which isn’t on this list.)

GREEK STREET TP VOL 02 CASSANDRA COMPLEX
LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES GREAT DARKNESS SAGA DLX HC
(Is Great Darkness Saga worthy of it’s hype?)

  4. HELLBLAZER #273 – still my favorite book right now.
NORTHLANDERS #34 – not loving this arc so much.
PHOENIX WITHOUT ASHES #4 (OF 4) – Harlan Ellison. Nuff said.
    SPIRIT #8
    SUPERGIRL #58
    WARLORD OF MARS #2

Legion of SH and Zatanna were both dropped as of this month.

  5. Thanks for clarifying.

  6. Say the word! Comics!

    BATMAN INCORPORATED #1
(No outsourcing, Batman! It’s bad business!)
    BATMAN THE RETURN #1
    (He forgot his keys.)
    DC UNIVERSE LEGACIES #7
(Wait, “things were about to get worse…” Again. Am I right, Len Wein? Holy socks, cheer up man!)
    DEADPOOLMAX #2
(That was certainly an educational use of human poo last issue.)
    HELLBLAZER #273
(Really satisfying episodic serial fiction this is.)
HELLBOY DOUBLE FEATURE OF EVIL ONE SHOT
(Richard Corben is 70 years old. It has not withered him.)
    NORTHLANDERS #34
(I dunno, Corey (Ottawa), I kinda like this arc because it’s keeping me guessing.)
    SIXTH GUN #6
(Some real dandy genre blending in this old buckaroo.)
    SPIRIT #8
    (Surprisingly good. Honest.)
    TINY TITANS #34
    (Aw, yeah!)

I would get The Extremist if I hadn’t got it first time ’round. And I’m totally getting that Shazam book. Er, eventually.

Ayup, those are looking good to ME!

  7. @John K(UK): I guess it was just the magical elemnets of this, which were even more overt in this issue, what with reaching through dimensions and all. While I had been reading it as how the plot was perceived by our heroes, this last chapter made it pretty clear that gods and demons were at play. That’s more a THOR story to me; not Northlanders.

  8. @Corey (Ottawa): Ah, see now that’s what was keeping me guessing. I was tending towards your reading (i.e. a Viking Mickey & Mallory Knox would fuel their delusions with myths and legends rather than anime and sit-coms) and I am a bit, but only a tad, disappointed if it is as unambiguously supernatural as you say.

The way I get my comics via monthly snail mail means I lag behind you lot a bit so you’ll have a far clearer view than I. So, yeah, it does sound more THOR than NORTHLANDERS. Ah well, tis still a good book. Thanks for that, sir.
