  1. Fucking finally, GANGES #4. Good lord have I been dying to read this for too freakin’ long.

  2. That there’s a new DARK SHADOWS comic makes me stupidly happy.

  3. OMACtivate for a third time! I have to believe that something so quirky can’t go on forever, but I’ll enjoy it while it lasts!

Should I do the Uncanny X-Men relaunch? Or is that just asking for heartbreak and frustration? Is this one Team Cyclops or Team Wolverine? (I feel dirty just referring to it that way…)

No Captain America #4? When’s that out? Not that I should care, since it not appearing on the shelf means that’s one less thing I need to wrestle with myself about dropping… Combat in dream/VR worlds is one of those genre staples that just bores me silly. (Yes, that includes The Matrix. And Star Trek holodeck episodes. And Nightmare on Elm Street. Let the flaming begin…)

  4. ACTION COMICS #3
    AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #673
    ANIMAL MAN #3
AVENGERS 1959 #3 (OF 5) – What can I say? John K made a convincing argument, and #1 really did have a good a cover, so I grabbed them both, and now I’m on board.
DETECTIVE COMICS #3 – It’s not the best thing ever, but I’m enjoying it.
    GANGES #4
    HAWK AND DOVE #3
    INFINITE VACATION #3 (OF 5)
JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL #3 – I liked the part last issue when Ice was dying on one page, then up, walking and talking the next page. Them superheroes heals fast! That said, I do wish this book would just lose the UN liaison characters. There’s enough heroes in this book that people in suits are just getting in the way.
MYSTIC #4 (OF 4) – This should be a series of OGNs.
    OMAC #3
OUR LOVE IS REAL ONE SHOT – Turns out the secret to getting good buzz about your indie book in this market, is to add dog fucking.
RED LANTERNS #3 – #2 showed a lot of promise. I think this is good Milligan, he’s just hiding behind the 90’s art.
    STATIC SHOCK #3
    STORMWATCH #3
    SWAMP THING #3
    WITCH DOCTOR #4 (OF 4)

JOE THE BARBARIAN DELUXE ED HC – Hell yes!

  5. Oh, and UNCANNY X-MEN #1 XREGB although it will have to be better than Wolverine And The X-Men to keep me on board.
Beyond nothing happening except showing me who would be in later issues of the book, the book just felt flat. I might give it another chance, but then I think about how exciting Morrison’s first issue was… and wonder why I should give a chance to a book that’s not even close to delivering that sort of thrills.

  6. ACTION COMICS #3 – Best of the Nü 52!
ANIMAL MAN #3 – This is close, though
HEART #1 (OF 4) – May pick this up after a cursory glance
MYSTIC #4 (OF 4) – Like Ben, I hope this continues in some form, because it’s been a lot of fun. It’s a perfect comic to market to girls, though perfectly fine for everyone
OUR LOVE IS REAL ONE SHOT – May pick this up after WHAT? It’s got dog fucking? Count me in!
SWAMP THING #3 – 3 of my top 4 Nü 52 books in the same week!
UNCANNY X-MEN #1 XREGB – Alright, Marvel, I’ll check this new XREGB character out, even if the name isn’t as catchy as XREGG (who wasn’t even in that other book. What gives, Marvel?)
    USAGI YOJIMBO #141 – 200th issue!
WITCH DOCTOR #4 (OF 4) Oo ee oo ah ah ting tang etc.

  7. Ganges 4 came out last week here in the east–it’s brilliant comics, just a joy to look at.

I’m down for Action, Stormwatch, OMAC, Snarked (because I’ll follow anywhere), Fear Itself 7.1, and Fear Itself: Fearless.

  8. ACTION COMICS #3
    ANIMAL MAN #3
FEAR ITSELF #7 POINT ONE – Chris Brown, this is why there’s no Cap #4, I think. I have some trepidation about buying something that’s “part of” such a reviled series, but oh well.
    MYSTIC #4 (OF 4) – I saw #1 in the $0.50 bin in another
STORMWATCH #3 – After #2 I wish I had dropped this, if this sucks enough I may still do so. Worst thing I’ve read by Cornell so far.

  9. That should have read I’ll follow Roger Langridge anywhere. I still miss the Muppet book and Thor, but Snarked is a great replacement, and the Carroll characters and settings play to his witty doggerel and vaudevillian strengths.

  10. AMERICAN VAMPIRE #20
    ELRIC THE BALANCE LOST #5
FEAR AGENT #32 OUT OF STEP (PT 5 OF 5)
    MARKSMEN #4 (OF 6)
    NEW MUTANTS #33 XREGB
OUR LOVE IS REAL ONE SHOT – interesting one, as have this at Comixology
    UNCANNY X-MEN #1 XREGB
    WARLORD OF MARS #12
    WITCH DOCTOR #4 (OF 4)

HELLBOY HOUSE OF THE LIVING DEAD HC

  11. how does “Joe the Barbarian” place in Morrions’s oeuvre?

  12. IMO, the most accessible but least compelling series he’s written in years. I felt as though I was reading a repurposed film script.

  13. A Marvel free week, as nu Month Three begins. And all books still on schedule….even Hawk and Dove. Three Avengers books, three X-Books and three Fear Itself books makes me wonder if Marvel dislikes retailers in some way.

ACTION COMICS #3 – the flagship it should be

AMERICAN VAMPIRE #20 – Jordi Bernet Alert! Someone tell John_K(UK)!

ANIMAL MAN #3 – not sure those covers are helping this be an impulse buy for new readers. Ew.

DETECTIVE COMICS #3 – what an odd solution to the shock cliffhanger….spend an entire issue talking about all the stuff happening off-camera in issue 1. Let’s see where #3 goes. Some very notable differences in how this book and Batman are approaching things.

OMAC #3 – Full on Kirby Krazy. Love it.

SWAMP THING #3 – a bit of a sophmore jinx, there. But this cover is totally appropriate for the 1975 era Swampy.

WARLORD OF MARS #12 – winding down on this, I think.
