  1. Juno Gold – I’m not familiar and got my hopes up it was a categorical title about D-Day…coving a beach a series at a time
Batman – This Joker/Ridder story is King’s best Batman to date.
Aliens Dead Orbit – The art is primo, and the story is good enough to hang on.
***Start SCALPED if you missed it years ago!***

  2. *covering

  3. Sonofa!!!! I meant Normandy GOLD……

  4. BATMAN #27–The last issue was GOOD, though this still seems better on potential than execution.

BRITANNIA WE WHO #4 (OF 4)–Still haven’t gotten to the first two on my stack, and didn’t know the third had come out….

DOCTOR STRANGE #23 SE–I don’t know. Dennis Hopeless was so great on Spider-Woman, and this is just EH, but it’s also a cross-over. I’m sorry Marvel is imposing this on him at the beginning of his run, I hope it doesn’t de-rail the whole thing. Can’t wait for Secret Empire to be over so I can get my comics back.

PETER PARKER SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN #2–First issue was VERY GOOD, lots of humorous humor, and a bombshell at the end. I don’t really feel a crying need for another Spider-Man title, but this is off to as good a start as possible.

TIME & VINE #1–Huh, the same guy who did Love & Capes with a new series. Definite flip-through, with a bias towards purchase.

  5. ASM Renew Your Vows – good fun, I still seem to be buying it…

Descender – sublimely gorgeous art, this is one of my top picks at the moment and recommend it to everybody

Mighty Thor – possibly my favourite of the few Marvel books I currently buy

Royal City – turning into a very good read, but for budget reasons is stuck in the ‘wait a month’s pile

Plus, should I be reading America based on my liking of recent Spider-Woman, Silk and Hawkeye books? Spectacular Spider-Man sounds like it may be up my street as well.

And… Alex Kot… Oh boy. Zero was so good, so good I shared it with non-comics-reading friends, and then he seemed to get bored of it and the final arc was a pile of self indulgent masturbatory crap. It was such a betrayal of the readers who had invested so much in it. I liked his Marvel stuff too, but have given up on his other books before he had a chance to give up on us again. I don’t know, Generation Gone could be great, but I just have no faith…

  6. (Ales obviously, damn autocorrect)

  7. Ales Kot may do genre fiction, but it’s never the same old, same old. I’m willing to see where this goes, after enjoying “Wolf.”

BATWOMAN, MIGHTY THOR, and MS. MARVEL are obvious jump up and down with joy titles for me.

Oddly enough, my kitsch itch makes me look forward to BATMAN 66 MEETS THE LEGION OF SUPER HEROES.
