  1. ACTION COMICS #904 (DOOMSDAY) – I guess quite conceivably, Doomsday could win.
BATMAN ARKHAM CITY #5 (OF 5)
BATMAN GATES OF GOTHAM #5 (OF 5)
    BATMAN INCORPORATED #8
DC RETROACTIVE GREEN LANTERN THE 90S #1
DC RETROACTIVE JUSTICE LEAGUE AMERICA THE 90S #1 – I’m probably in the wrong, but my mind goes to Morrison JLA for 90’s JLA, and Giffen JLI for 80’s Justice League. Maybe I’m just pissed about having read the Detroit era 80’s Retroactive book on Sunday – let’s never revisit that team again. It didn’t work in the 80’s, it doesn’t work now.
DC RETROACTIVE SUPERMAN THE 90S #1
FLASHPOINT PROJECT SUPERMAN #3 (OF 3) – And I started FP planning to buy all the tie-ins!
    SUPERMAN BEYOND #0
TEEN TITANS #100 (NOTE PRICE) – Only if it’s mostly drawn by Nicola Scott.
    XOMBI #6

No trades it seems – DC’s page has a Ditko Omnibus listed, which could be a maybe.
I’m still working my way through Secret Society Of Super-Villains, and Gene Colan’s Batman HC’s from lat week – both are fantastic – so I may avoid temptation.

  2. Superman Beyond #0?

Is DC starting something this week of weeks? Or is it just leftover Batman Beyond stuff being purged before the not-reboot?

  3. Following Cerebus? What’s it been, 3-4 years since the last one? Guess I have to go get experienced on Wednesday. Always nice to have a reason to visit your store!

  4. BATMAN INCORPORATED #8 (if it really arrives)
    CHEW #20
    FF #8
    XOMBI #6

probably my last DC comics, gonna move to trades for the Morrison books, maybe Cornell’s if they look good. Breaking my 34 year DCU habit!

  5. Oh wow, Infinite Kung Fu. If my shop ordered a copy I’m going home with that.

  6. AMERICAN VAMPIRE #18
    MARKSMEN #2 (OF 6)
    NEW MUTANTS #30 FEAR
    X-MEN LEGACY #254

    Books / Mags / Stuff
    GRIMJACK OMNIBUS TP VOL 02
MODESTY BLAISE TP VOL 20 MILLION DOLLAR GAME (Just got this one, actually)

  7. ACTION COMICS #904 (DOOMSDAY)

    BATMAN INCORPORATED #8 – Please be there…

DC RETROACTIVE GREEN LANTERN THE 90S #1 – Banks will be at my store this Wednesday. Totally cool guy and can draw GL doing anything while paying zero attention to the page itself. It’s actually quite impressive.

FLASHPOINT PROJECT SUPERMAN #3 (OF 3) The decapitation count stands at 8. Will we break double digits? Will Alien guy get to Super Saiyan level 3? On a related note while “antiquing” (aka crap-barning) with the wife I noticed some intrepid soul was liquidating his Superman: The Wedding Album copies for the smooth price of $12 a piece. He had 8 left as of this writing.

KEVIN SMITH BIONIC MAN #1 – I can’t really explain or justify my love for Bionic Man. It really comes down to the theme song, I think.

    SUPERMAN BEYOND #0

    XOMBI #6

  8. A good week, for what may start being a lot of strange weeks around ye old LCS. But hey, all you Shadowland Trade Waiters, this is the week for YOU! And for all those who wanted pre

    AMERICAN VAMPIRE #18

ASTONISHING X-MEN #41 (PROBABTION VIOLATION. I had wondered last time out if Juan (She Hulk) Bobillo art would work with a straight up super hero book. I thought it might be sort of like modern era Chris Bacchalo. Lord almighty it did not work. Nor one little bit.)

DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS #10 (I should point out to Jeff who was grumbling mirthlessly about the book only being collected in hardcover, that while it was collected as an HC, it was upsized and given the same trade dress as a D&D manual. So rack this puppy beside your Dungeon Masters Guide and your Monster Manual! And there’s a module in the back so you can play the plot, if that’s your thing. A considered, savvy decision to stand out from the ranks of anodyne trade books of mid-tier series. Nicely done IDW)

  9. aaargh! cut off.

And for all those who wanted prequel material for the GL movie, this is also YOUR special Sinestro preview week. Read it with the DVD I guess. Must be a Special Hibbs ASSHAT TIE-IN AWARD OF EXCELLENCE in there for DC/WB somewhere….

    I also will be buying:

KEVIN SMITH BIONIC MAN #1 (Not “Martin Caidin’s…” or “Lee Major’s” or “Universal TV’s… but “Kevin Smith’s”. J Smitty: I am also excited over this, in a way that is hard to explain to anyone who wasn’t seven years old and taking a tour of Universal Studios, CA and got to see the ICE TUNNEL WHERE COL. STEVE AUSTIN FOUGHT BIGFOOT! If I have to explain that sentence to Savage Readers, this probably won’t be your book. But we can rebuild you. We can make you better. Stronger, Snarkier.

NORTHLANDERS #43 (this book has a niche, and I am it. Probably less decapitations than Project: Superman, though)

  10. CAPTAIN AMERICA AND BUCKY #621 – I already jumped off the main Cap title, and I surely would have dropped this by now if not for Chris Samnee
DARK HORSE PRESENTS #3 – Giving this one more chance to wow me
DC RETROACTIVE JUSTICE LEAGUE AMERICA THE 90S #1 – I probably have the reprint, but I cannot resist the JLI. I agree with Ben Lipman that this should have been the 80’s Retro. I don’t get all the recent nostalgia love for the Detroit League. Was it just so hated in the day that Dan (I love the pre-Crisis 80’s) Didio needs to prove to us that it wasn’t THAT bad?
GREEN LANTERN EMERALD WARRIORS #13 – Guy and Bats need to solve a mystery together? That hits my JLI sweetspot too, and Peter Tomasi has a good feel for both characters
KEVIN SMITH BIONIC MAN #1 – I don’t think I’m buying this, I just want to know if the ICE TUNNEL WHERE COL. STEVE AUSTIN FOUGHT BIGFOOT! is still on the Universal Studios tour, because Corey(Ottawa) is right – that was totally awesome when I toured it as a kid
SUPERMAN BEYOND #0 – DC exploits the mainstream popularity of the Batman Beyond cartoon about 10 years too late. I need a flip-through at the shop to see if I’m intrigued enough by DeFalco/Frenz/Buscema on this to buy it
UNCANNY X-FORCE #13 – This has been good enough for me to buy an occasional issue but not all of them. Would I like this better if it rehashed the 80’s X-Men tropes I grew up on rather than the 90’s tropes I didn’t read?
XOMBI #6 – Another one I sampled but didn’t buy regularly. I would like to see how it ends though
FOLLOWING CEREBUS #12 – Absence does make the heart grow fonder here, so I’m ready for some Cerebus ephemera. The theme here seems to be that there are actually other people named Dave besides Sim. And is he still doing Cerebus Archive? I don’t recall seeing one of those in a while either.

  11. So long, Xombi! I’m going to miss that one. If only Vertigo had a home for books like this.

  12. @Corey(Ottawa) and @James Woodward:
“ICE TUNNEL WHERE COL. STEVE AUSTIN FOUGHT BIGFOOT!”
    Yes! A thousand times yes!
    Kevin Smith: No.
Still: “ICE TUNNEL WHERE COL. STEVE AUSTIN FOUGHT BIGFOOT!”
I think it revolved as well, didn’t it?
I never got to see it except on an old TV set but I am so, so very, very glad you brought that memory back!

Welcome back Corey(Ottawa),I was just about to get them to start dredging the canals!

    Thyese are what I’m “pulling”:

    AMERICAN VAMPIRE #18
    BATMAN INCORPORATED #8
    DARK HORSE PRESENTS #3
    JOHN BYRNE NEXT MEN #9
    NORTHLANDERS #43
(Me and Corey (Ottawa)like this. Probably because it involves snow and snow reminds us of the ICE TUNNEL WHERE COL. STEVE AUSTIN FOUGHT BIGFOOT!)

The still before the storm are these COMICS!!!
