  1. Looking forward to the final SECRET SIX (though not the end of the series). Coupla the RETROACTIVE books, FLASHPOINT, and the new GATES OF GOTHAM.

  2. Crazy DC week!

Will definitely pick up Jonah Hex and Secret Six.

    Thinking about

BATMAN GATES OF GOTHAM #4 (OF 5)
DC RETROACTIVE BATMAN THE 80S #1
    FLASHPOINT #4 (OF 5)

Althought I might just jump the finales of GAtes and Flashpoint if they looke padded. I love a little Son of the Demon reunion but it just seems pricy. Does anyone know what ’80s story they are reprinting?

  3. Adventure
    Avengers Academy
    The Boys
    Batman 80s – maybe
    Elric
    Jonah Hex
    Scalped
    Secret Six
    Shield
    Sweet Tooth

Irredeemable & Moon Knight have lost me.
DCP Metal Men might be interesting depending what the reprint is.

Not enjoying Flashpoint so not gonna buy it anymore, just like I didn’t buy Amazons’ Attack, Genesis, Infinite Crisis & all that other x-over junk going back to Secret Wars II.

  4. Comics I’m getting

The list of The Marvel Books I am picking up and will continue to get:
AVENGERS ACADEMY #17 (Might drop in the future).
    HEROES FOR HIRE #10
IRON MAN 2.0 #7 POINT ONE (Worst numbering ever, and Fear Itself has made this terrible, but the plot before the event was so cool I hope it will become great again).
MOON KNIGHT #4 (Love Moon Knight no matter who writes him).
PUNISHER #1 (Greg Rucka on Punisher? Yes please)!
    RED SKULL #2
    SHIELD #2
THUNDERBOLTS #161 (I’m thinking of cutting this).
    X-FACTOR #223 (Best mutant-related comic).

The list of the Marvel books I’m getting my last issue of:
    HULK #38
    WOLVERINE #13
Why? Because As I’ve been saying to people in person and on my blog, I’m kinda-sorta breaking up with Marvel and dropping a bunch of books. I get Thunderbolts and am not sure I want to keep it, but I don’t like Red Hulk a ton so I’ll drop him. As for Wolverine #13, a $3.99 book has to really wow me, and even though it’s good, it isn’t $3.99 good.

    Other Comics I’m getting:
    BATMAN GATES OF GOTHAM #4
CALIGULA #3 (I would be afraid to peer into David Lapham’s mind, to come up with this and that mini-series he did for Crossed he must be capable of some sick thoughts. Then again, maybe he just thinks about puppies and this stuff somehow pours out of his hands onto the keyboard).
FLASHPOINT #4 (I thought I would like Fear Itself and hate Flashpoint, just like the alternate reality Barry Allen is trapped in everything is different than what I thought).
FLASHPOINT BATMAN KNIGHT OF VENGEANCE #3
    HERO COMICS 2011
    IRREDEEMABLE #28
SCREAMLAND ONGOING #3 (Been kind of weak so far, actually).

There you have it, comics I will be reading, an oddly heavy week for me seeing as how I’m cutting back on stuff. The Marvel books I’m actually keeping seem to have all chosen to come out this week, and some other good comics are being released also. This is interesting compared to last week when I had very little and had more money I could use to feed my children. I guess little Henry is going hungry this week! Note: I don’t actually have children, I just have a Hippo. His name is Feldman and he lives with me. Yes, he is a stuffed animal, but oddly enough he has more rent money than me, I think he’s a sex worker (the politically-correct term for prostitute).

  5. ADVENTURE COMICS #529
BATMAN ARKHAM CITY #4 (OF 5)
BATMAN GATES OF GOTHAM #4 (OF 5)
    DC COMICS PRESENTS SHAZAM #2
DC COMICS PRESENTS THE METAL MEN #1 – Now with less printing errors?
DC RETROACTIVE BATMAN THE 80S #1
DC RETROACTIVE THE FLASH THE 80S #1
DC RETROACTIVE WONDER WOMAN THE 80S #1 – DC Retroactive has been pretty fun so far, as long as you don’t think too hard about them. The Green Lantern 70’s one felt more like a golden age story than a silver age one, for all the sense it made. Green Lantern defended an alien from Abin Sur’s race who crash landed on Earth – he was on Earth to deliver a message, but forgets the message… and dies. The end.
    FLASHPOINT #4 (OF 5)
FLASHPOINT BATMAN KNIGHT OF VENGEANCE #3 (OF 3)
FLASHPOINT SECRET SEVEN #3 (OF 3) – I’ve gone from attempting all Flashpoint mini’s, to only continuing with a few. It’s just oo much.
    MYSTIC #1 (OF 4)
    PUNISHER #1
    SUPERBOY #10
    SUPERMAN #714

BAKUMAN TP VOL 06 – Fuck yeah! It’s comics about making comics! Does it get better than that!
JACK KIRBY OMNIBUS HC VOL 01 STARRING GREEN ARROW
Dc’s website also mentions a Gene Colan Batman collection shipping – I’ll probably get that.
(I’ll have to toss up between getting it or Kirby Omnibus, and pick the other up at a later date).

  6. 50 GIRLS 50 #3 (OF 4)
DC COMICS PRESENTS THE METAL MEN #1
    ELRIC THE BALANCE LOST #2
    SECRET SIX #36
WARLORD OF MARS DEJAH THORIS #5

RED SONJA TP VOL 09 WAR SEASON

  7. Should not have forgotten this one :- ADVENTURE COMICS #529

  8. SECRET SIX #36.

And then maybe I’m done with mainstream superhero comics for a while. A long while. DC at least. Sort of hanging on with a few Marvel books: FF, Thunderbolts, Avengers Academy. Otherwise, the stupidity of the DC whatever the heck it is has really turned my cultural stomach and it’s affecting my interest in the entire medium/genre.

  9. Odd Timothy, you are like me in reverse. DC piqued my interested with what they are doing and I dropped a bunch of Marvel. DC ticked you off and you went with Marvel. Interestingly enough of the three books you name I am still reading two (I don’t do FF). Interesting.
