Wait, What? Ep. 110: Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

Jeff Lester

One of the two delightful pieces of art made for us by the impressively talented Garrett Berner (a.k.a. The Mighty Gar) It’s our last podcast of the year!  Yes, after this two hour and ten minute Whatstravaganza, you get a nice two week vacation from our wee voices nattering on and on, answering your questions, picking apart your comics.  Finally!  Some peace and quiet for your holidays!  Doesn’t that sound pleasant? Anyway…after the jump!  More art!  Lots of links! A hastily assembled and incomplete “Best of” list! And also: Show Notes!

Wait, What? Ep. 84: Q and A DNA Q

First off, our new graphic is courtesy of the incredibly talented Adam P. Knave (who on top of all the other things he does and does well, has added podcaster to the mix. Go check out The Glory, The Glory, why don’t you?) and our old dashed-off scattershot introductions to the podcast, courtesy of me who has once again managed to land himself behind a scheduling eightball. Tis broken.  The hourglass? Now hollow. But if you wish to remember me fondly,…  Read More…

A Quick One While He’s Away: Graeme and a book that didn’t come out this week after all.

Graeme McMillan

A short one today, because I’m tired and a wuss. It’s been a long and strange week, what can I say? KING CITY Volume 1: Proof that this whole internet thing has legs: I picked this graphic novel by Brandon Graham up not because I knew anything about it, or was familiar with Graham’s work, but purely because I’d read a couple of positive reviews (by, I think, Chris Butcher and Kevin Church?) and was curious. Luckily, it worked out – This is an unusual but enjoyable book that’s very much of its own thing even as it wears its influences on it’s sleeve. If you added Eduardo Risso, Paul Pope and Pete Fowler together, you’d have something that looked…  Read More…
